ABOUT KAREN McELROY /

Karen McElroy is a Naturopath with over 20 years clinical experience, largely specialising in women and children’s health. Karen has completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy), a Bachelor of Arts in journalism as well as Yoga teacher training certificate. Karen consults from two busy clinics on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia.

 

Her continual thirst for knowledge has inspired her to complete postgraduate study in a range of areas from environmental health and women’s health to Anthroposophic medicine and a range of mind-body counselling techniques and therapies. She seeks to understand the deeper underlying causes of disease and aims to bridge the gap between modern science and traditional healing philosophies to best serve her patients and their quest for health and wellbeing. 

 

Karen is passionate about her work and enjoys sharing her knowledge and clinical insights with colleagues and the wider community. She has written many articles for both professional and public audiences, lectured at a number of universities, given public and professional talks at conferences in Australia and overseas and runs popular workshops on children’s health, natural fertility, stress management and meditation. She has also lectured and supervised students at Endeavour College for a number of years. Karen is an engaging speaker and seeks to bring an inspired and truly holistic understanding of a topic to her audience.

 

Karen is a full member of the National Herbalists Association of Australia and the Australian Anthroposophic Medical Association.
